Red Sky in the Morning Sailors Take Warning...Remember Snow?
Did you see the stunning red sky this morning? It’s foretelling the upcoming snowstorm forecast for this afternoon...1-3” inches of snow…just as I was getting used to the idea of Spring arriving!!
I watched the news and the weatherman warned me of this storm, but ancient cultures listened to Mother Nature and watched the sky. From my 2nd floor studio window, I watch the sky too. All the weather changes that I see eventually make it into a painting. I have painted rain, snow, heat, tornadoes, eclipses, blue moons, pink clouds, wind, hail, rainbows, fog, and red sky too. In fact, I had a one-person museum show where each painting highlighted a different weather phenomenon.
But today I am sharing snowflakes with you since that is what we will see this afternoon. This painting is entitled “Remember Snow?” Such an appropriate title for today’s storm. Am I right?
